SHMA is an actuarial consulting firm that offers a number of services to their clients. They hold extensive experience of insurance, with particular focus on regions, including but not limited to UAE, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Qatar, Egypt Senegal, Turkey, Pakistan and Sri Lanka. They came to us I while I was working as an Associate Art Director at VMLY&R, and asked for a revamping of their brand identity.

With
the
application
of
my
philosophical
knowledge
and
research,
I
first
rationalized
a
concept
and
then
developed
their
identity
based
on
that
concept.
We
asked
them
to
provide
us
with
some
key-words
that
best
describe
their
brand,
then
accommodating
them
and
using
the
image
of
an
umbrella
that
depicts
‘protection’,
I
minimalized
it
into
a
simpler
image
and
then
gave
it
a
perspective
and
movement,
observing
which
you
can
see
a
sign
of
progression
and
success.
Modern, pop-out and eye-catchy colors were used for the font and logo. Since SHMA is quite an old brand, the font Montserrat was
used to celebrate its antiquity. A theme was developed and followed to design interior, grid, posters, artworks, stationery and other
photography. Keeping up with client’s demand two other options were also given, but as always it was all approved in one go.
